Ronald G Falconberry
Ron Falconberry is an information systems professional with over 25 years experience in developing business applications and is currently employed as a senior software engineer for a company which develops software for the trucking industry.
Education
Ron earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech with a Bible minor from David Lipscomb College in 1977 with the intent of entering the ministry. However, Ron eventually returned to school graduating in 1985 with an Associate of Science in Business Data Processing from Nashville State Technical Institute and, in 1994, earned a Master of Business Administration degree specializing in Computer Science from Webster University.
Professional Writing and Experience
Ron has extensive technical writing experience which includes:
- Authoring a software User's Guide and an Information Systems Technical Manual for one of his clients.
- Writing numerous technical tutorials, and user guides.
- Documentation of operational processes for use by information systems personnel.
Ron has also taught a variety of corporate classes on programming and software applications.
Interests and Hobbies
Outside of his professional work, Ron has several interests and hobbies.
- He is an active member of a non-denominational Christian church where he has taught adolescent and adult Bible classes, helped develop educational curriculum and written on biblical issues which have been published in local newspapers.
- Ron enjoys researching his family's genealogy and has written articles on the origin and history of the family along with numerous individual biographies and stories which are posted on his family's genealogy site.
- From 1997 to 2002, Ron was a member of Toastmaster's International, an organization which helps people improve their public speaking skills. During that time he gave numerous prepared speeches, extemporanous talks and speech evaluations while serving in various official capacities including one year as club President.
